China-California Business Summit Around the Corner

The third California-China Business Summit will be held in LA on May 3.  So far, over 140 Chinese business executives and trade officials have registered to attend.

Industries represented by the delegation include clean-tech, e-commerce, energy, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, IT, food and agriculture, apparel, etc.

The 2018 California-China Business Summit, the third of its kind, is aimed at promoting and highlighting California's trade and investment cooperation with Chinese provinces under the framework of a MOU signed by California Governor Jerry Brown and his Chinese counterparts during his trade mission to Beijing in 2013. Governor Brown personally participated in the previous two summits which attracted a total of over 800 business participants.

The Summit is co-organized by the Milken Institute, CHINAWEEK and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, and supported by the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), the Los Angeles Regional Export Council, Bay Area Council and Los Angeles Times. Governor Brown has confirmed his attendance this time and  will address the luncheon plenary session.

The one day event will include plenary sessions on trade and investment, breakout sessions on clean-tech, advanced manufacturing, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence, as well as one-on-one match-making opportunities.  It is designed to help companies understand the latest information on opportunities and challenges in the dynamic trade relationship and build practical strategies and partnership for  shared success between Chinese and California businesses.

Local businesses are most welcome to attend the summit.
